# TrueLook vs OctaneOS

The clearest difference is update cadence: OctaneOS at every 2 weeks against TrueLook's every 10 months. TrueLook's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TrueLook ships an update every 10 months, OctaneOS every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
