# BanjeCel vs Clip

The clearest difference is rating: Clip at 4.8 against BanjeCel's 4.3. Clip also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (3K vs 41). BanjeCel's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Clip holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clip has 3K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of BanjeCel's written reviews are positive against 59% of Clip's.

BanjeCel ships an update every 12 months, Clip weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
