# Biographer vs ScriptBuilder

The clearest difference is rating: ScriptBuilder at 4.6 against Biographer's 3.7. ScriptBuilder also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). Biographer's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Biographer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and ScriptBuilder sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptBuilder holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Biographer's written reviews are positive against 36% of ScriptBuilder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Biographer ships an update every 3 months, ScriptBuilder every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
