# Biographer vs Stratword

The clearest difference is rating: Stratword at 4.4 against Biographer's 3.7. Stratword also leads on ratings volume (97 vs 7) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Biographer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Biographer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Stratword sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stratword holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stratword has 97 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of Biographer's written reviews are positive against 47% of Stratword's.

Biographer ships an update every 3 months, Stratword every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
