# Calculator· vs Calc²

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Calc² at none against Calculator·'s 3. Calc² also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). Calculator·'s advantage is ratings volume (34K vs 2). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator· sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Calc² asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Calculator· against 5.0 for Calc². That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator· has 34K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
