# Golf Genius vs GolfSoftware.com

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GolfSoftware.com at 80% against Golf Genius's 26%. Golf Genius's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (75K vs 24). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Golf Genius holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Genius has 75K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Golf Genius's written reviews are positive against 80% of GolfSoftware.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Golf Genius ships an update every 3 weeks, GolfSoftware.com every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
