# SimpliSafe Home Security App vs Sensi

The clearest difference is monetization model: SimpliSafe Home Security App at free against Sensi's free with in-app purchases. SimpliSafe Home Security App also leads on update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Sensi's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 24%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimpliSafe Home Security App holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 323K and 248K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of SimpliSafe Home Security App's written reviews are positive against 35% of Sensi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SimpliSafe Home Security App ships an update weekly, Sensi monthly. Both last shipped on November 8, 2026.
