# Miracle Modus vs Sphero Play

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sphero Play at none against Miracle Modus's 2. Sphero Play also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (37K vs 28). Miracle Modus's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 69%) and iOS requirement (4.3 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Miracle Modus sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Sphero Play asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sphero Play holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sphero Play has 37K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Miracle Modus's written reviews are positive against 69% of Sphero Play's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
