# Georgetown Mobile vs West Academic Audio

The clearest difference is rating: West Academic Audio at 4.8 against Georgetown Mobile's 1.6. West Academic Audio also leads on ratings volume (445 vs 16) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). Georgetown Mobile's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (56% vs 46%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

West Academic Audio holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: West Academic Audio has 445 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Georgetown Mobile's written reviews are positive against 46% of West Academic Audio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Georgetown Mobile ships an update every 7 months, West Academic Audio every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
