# CCal 11 Lite vs Basic Calendar

The clearest difference is ads: Basic Calendar at none against CCal 11 Lite's shown. Basic Calendar also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). CCal 11 Lite's advantage is ratings volume (577 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CCal 11 Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Basic Calendar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basic Calendar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CCal 11 Lite has 577 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CCal 11 Lite ships an update every 5 weeks, Basic Calendar every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
