# Domus vs FT Digital Edition

The clearest difference is rating: FT Digital Edition at 4.8 against Domus's 4.1. FT Digital Edition also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 11) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Domus's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Domus sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month and FT Digital Edition sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $16.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FT Digital Edition holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FT Digital Edition has 2.9K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Domus's written reviews are positive against 63% of FT Digital Edition's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Domus ships an update every 2 months, FT Digital Edition every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
