# 天气通Pro vs Stratus Weather

The clearest difference is monetization model: 天气通Pro at free with in-app purchases against Stratus Weather's subscription. 天气通Pro also leads on rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and review sentiment (91% vs 60%). Stratus Weather's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 天气通Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Stratus Weather sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 天气通Pro has 78 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
