# WatchMate vs FamMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: FamMap at every 6 days against WatchMate's every 2 months. WatchMate's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WatchMate ships an update every 2 months, FamMap every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
