# 百词斩 vs 密码酷96

The clearest difference is rating: 百词斩 at 4.8 against 密码酷96's 4.0. 百词斩 also leads on ratings volume (9K vs 5). 密码酷96's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 76%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 百词斩 sells 36 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and 密码酷96 sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

百词斩 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 百词斩 has 9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of 百词斩's written reviews are positive against 100% of 密码酷96's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
