# 百词斩 vs 象棋助手

The clearest difference is ads: 象棋助手 at none against 百词斩's shown. 象棋助手 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). 百词斩's advantage is ratings volume (9.1K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 百词斩 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and 象棋助手 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

象棋助手 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 百词斩 has 9.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

百词斩 ships an update fortnightly, 象棋助手 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
