# Courses U vs Asphalte

The clearest difference is rating: Courses U at 4.7 against Asphalte's 4.4. Courses U also leads on ratings volume (71 vs 5). Asphalte's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Courses U holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Courses U has 71 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Courses U's written reviews are positive against 67% of Asphalte's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Courses U ships an update fortnightly, Asphalte every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
