# Extron Control vs Modena Client

The clearest difference is update cadence: Modena Client at every 6 weeks against Extron Control's every 4 months. Extron Control's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Extron Control against 4.5 for Modena Client. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Extron Control has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Extron Control ships an update every 4 months, Modena Client every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
