# MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light vs Tiny Habits Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light at free with in-app purchases against Tiny Habits Tracker's subscription. MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light also leads on ads (none vs shown). Tiny Habits Tracker's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Tiny Habits Tracker sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tiny Habits Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 96 and 106 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light's written reviews are positive against 86% of Tiny Habits Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyTools · My AR Ruler & Light ships an update every 2 months, Tiny Habits Tracker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
