# Make a Scene vs Load the Ark

The clearest difference is price: Load the Ark at Free against Make a Scene's $0.99. Load the Ark also leads on rating (4.3 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 27 months). Make a Scene's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Load the Ark is free to download; Make a Scene costs $0.99 up front. Load the Ark sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Make a Scene asks for nothing beyond the download.

Load the Ark holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Load the Ark has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Make a Scene's written reviews are positive against 83% of Load the Ark's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Make a Scene ships an update every 27 months, Load the Ark every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
