# Cupcake Maker vs Cake Maker Deluxe

The clearest difference is rating: Cupcake Maker at 4.8 against Cake Maker Deluxe's 4.1. Cupcake Maker also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 32). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cupcake Maker sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Cake Maker Deluxe sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cupcake Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cupcake Maker has 2.3K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two.
