# AlienFaced vs Time Warp Scan

The clearest difference is rating: Time Warp Scan at 4.3 against AlienFaced's 3.8. Time Warp Scan also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (9.8K vs 4). AlienFaced's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (60% vs 34%). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AlienFaced sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Time Warp Scan sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Warp Scan holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Warp Scan has 9.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of AlienFaced's written reviews are positive against 34% of Time Warp Scan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AlienFaced ships an update every 4 months, Time Warp Scan monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
