# GoCar vs Irish Citylink

The clearest difference is rating: GoCar at 2.5 against Irish Citylink's 1.0. GoCar also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 1). Irish Citylink's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GoCar holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GoCar has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GoCar ships an update every 4 weeks, Irish Citylink every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
