# 懒人听书 vs Four Great Classical Novels

The clearest difference is ads: Four Great Classical Novels at none against 懒人听书's shown. Four Great Classical Novels also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). 懒人听书's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (2K vs 8). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 懒人听书 sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Four Great Classical Novels sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Four Great Classical Novels holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 懒人听书 has 2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of 懒人听书's written reviews are positive against 82% of Four Great Classical Novels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

懒人听书 ships an update every 2 weeks, Four Great Classical Novels every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
