# Camera Cube vs Syn

The clearest difference is rating: Syn at 4.8 against Camera Cube's 3.0. Syn also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (48 vs 9). Camera Cube's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Camera Cube sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Syn sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Syn holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Syn has 48 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Camera Cube's written reviews are positive against 83% of Syn's.

Camera Cube ships an update every 5 weeks, Syn every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
