# Kiko Freitas vs DrumToolz

The clearest difference is rating: DrumToolz at 4.2 against Kiko Freitas's 3.0. DrumToolz also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). Kiko Freitas's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 58%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kiko Freitas sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. DrumToolz asks for nothing beyond the download.

DrumToolz holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrumToolz has 313 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Kiko Freitas's written reviews are positive against 58% of DrumToolz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kiko Freitas ships an update every 8 months, DrumToolz monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
