# Dollar General vs Store Cards・Loyalty Programs

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dollar General at none against Store Cards・Loyalty Programs's 8. Dollar General also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1M vs 230). Store Cards・Loyalty Programs's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 41%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Store Cards・Loyalty Programs sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Dollar General asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dollar General holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dollar General has 1.1M ratings behind it against 230, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Dollar General's written reviews are positive against 70% of Store Cards・Loyalty Programs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dollar General ships an update every 3 weeks, Store Cards・Loyalty Programs every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
