# The Homework App vs Assignment Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Assignment Tracker at 4.7 against The Homework App's 4.2. The Homework App's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 31%) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 98). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Homework App sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignment Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Homework App has 4.2K ratings behind it against 98, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of The Homework App's written reviews are positive against 31% of Assignment Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Homework App ships an update fortnightly, Assignment Tracker every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
