# The Homework App vs Homework Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Homework Tracker at 4.8 against The Homework App's 4.2. The Homework App's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 224) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Homework App sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Homework Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homework Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Homework App has 4.2K ratings behind it against 224, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of The Homework App's written reviews are positive against 70% of Homework Tracker's.

The Homework App ships an update fortnightly, Homework Tracker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
