# GymSync vs AF App

The clearest difference is ratings volume: AF App at 15K against GymSync's 1. AF App also leads on chart position (#84 vs unranked). GymSync's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GymSync holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AF App has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of GymSync's written reviews are positive against 37% of AF App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GymSync ships an update weekly, AF App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
