# Value Cabs vs Mclean's Taxis

The clearest difference is rating: Value Cabs at 4.5 against Mclean's Taxis's 3.7. Value Cabs also leads on ratings volume (90 vs 3) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Value Cabs holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Value Cabs has 90 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Value Cabs's written reviews are positive against 60% of Mclean's Taxis's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Value Cabs ships an update every 6 weeks, Mclean's Taxis every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
