# ErgData vs Aviron

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ErgData at none against Aviron's 5. ErgData also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (5.9K vs 130). Aviron's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 46%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aviron sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.95 per month. ErgData asks for nothing beyond the download.

ErgData holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ErgData has 5.9K ratings behind it against 130, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of ErgData's written reviews are positive against 73% of Aviron's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ErgData ships an update fortnightly, Aviron monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
