# Yomu EBook Reader vs Leanpub

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Yomu EBook Reader at 80% against Leanpub's 13%. Yomu EBook Reader also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 1). Leanpub's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Yomu EBook Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Leanpub asks for nothing beyond the download.

Leanpub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yomu EBook Reader has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Yomu EBook Reader's written reviews are positive against 13% of Leanpub's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
