# Udemy Online Video Courses vs freeCodeCamp

The clearest difference is rating: Udemy Online Video Courses at 4.7 against freeCodeCamp's 3.8. Udemy Online Video Courses also leads on ratings volume (77K vs 79) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). freeCodeCamp's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and review sentiment (42% vs 25%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Udemy Online Video Courses sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. freeCodeCamp asks for nothing beyond the download.

Udemy Online Video Courses holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Udemy Online Video Courses has 77K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Udemy Online Video Courses's written reviews are positive against 42% of freeCodeCamp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Udemy Online Video Courses ships an update every 10 days, freeCodeCamp monthly. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
