# ANC Explorer vs ParkRTC

The clearest difference is rating: ParkRTC at 3.7 against ANC Explorer's 3.0. ParkRTC also leads on ratings volume (787 vs 55) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). ANC Explorer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months) and review sentiment (38% vs 23%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ParkRTC holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ParkRTC has 787 ratings behind it against 55, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of ANC Explorer's written reviews are positive against 23% of ParkRTC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ANC Explorer ships an update every 2 months, ParkRTC every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
