# Hours Keeper vs WorkLog

The clearest difference is monetization model: WorkLog at free with in-app purchases against Hours Keeper's subscription. WorkLog also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (76% vs 57%). Hours Keeper's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 17). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours Keeper sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and WorkLog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Hours Keeper against 4.2 for WorkLog. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hours Keeper has 1.4K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Hours Keeper's written reviews are positive against 76% of WorkLog's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
