# Hours Keeper vs TimeTracker Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: TimeTracker Pro at free with in-app purchases against Hours Keeper's subscription. TimeTracker Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.1). Hours Keeper's advantage is ratings volume (1.4K vs 133). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hours Keeper sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and TimeTracker Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TimeTracker Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hours Keeper has 1.4K ratings behind it against 133, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of Hours Keeper's written reviews are positive against 64% of TimeTracker Pro's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
