# Bible vs Pocket Gospels

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bible at monthly against Pocket Gospels's every 32 months. Bible also leads on ratings volume (6.3K vs 2) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible sells 15 one-off in-app purchases and Pocket Gospels sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bible against 5.0 for Pocket Gospels. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible has 6.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bible ships an update monthly, Pocket Gospels every 32 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
