# Bible vs Glass Book Reader

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Glass Book Reader at none against Bible's 15. Bible's advantage is ratings volume (6.3K vs 1) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Glass Book Reader asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bible against 5.0 for Glass Book Reader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible has 6.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bible ships an update monthly, Glass Book Reader every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
