# EMT Valencia vs Renfe

The clearest difference is rating: Renfe at 4.6 against EMT Valencia's 2.3. Renfe also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 26) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). EMT Valencia's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Renfe holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Renfe has 3.5K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of EMT Valencia's written reviews are positive against 8% of Renfe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EMT Valencia ships an update every 2 months, Renfe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
