# Blackbird! vs Speed Plus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speed Plus at none against Blackbird!'s 2. Speed Plus also leads on price ($0.99 vs $2.99) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Blackbird!'s advantage is ratings volume (7K vs 12) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On rating, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Blackbird! costs $2.99 and Speed Plus $0.99 up front. Blackbird! sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Speed Plus asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Blackbird! against 4.8 for Speed Plus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackbird! has 7K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Blackbird! ships an update every 2 months, Speed Plus every 7 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
