# Blackbird! vs Hardwood Euchre

The clearest difference is price: Hardwood Euchre at Free against Blackbird!'s $2.99. Hardwood Euchre also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 70%) and device support (4 vs 2). Blackbird!'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (7K vs 185). On rating, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Hardwood Euchre is free to download; Blackbird! costs $2.99 up front. Blackbird! sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Hardwood Euchre sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blackbird! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blackbird! has 7K ratings behind it against 185, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Blackbird!'s written reviews are positive against 83% of Hardwood Euchre's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
