# Golf Star™ vs Real Golf

The clearest difference is rating: Golf Star™ at 3.5 against Real Golf's 3.0. Golf Star™ also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 3) and chart position (#191 vs unranked). Real Golf's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf Star™ sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Real Golf sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golf Star™ holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Star™ has 1.8K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Golf Star™'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Real Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Golf Star™ ships an update every 2 months, Real Golf daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
