# StormTracker 12 vs WDIV 4Warn Weather

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StormTracker 12 at 80% against WDIV 4Warn Weather's 35%. WDIV 4Warn Weather's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (33K vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WDIV 4Warn Weather holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WDIV 4Warn Weather has 33K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of StormTracker 12's written reviews are positive against 35% of WDIV 4Warn Weather's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StormTracker 12 ships an update every 5 months, WDIV 4Warn Weather monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
