# Train Counter vs OMAT

The clearest difference is rating: OMAT at 5.0 against Train Counter's 4.3. OMAT also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). Train Counter's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Train Counter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. OMAT asks for nothing beyond the download.

OMAT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Train Counter has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Train Counter ships an update every 2 months, OMAT every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
