# Time Calculator vs Work

The clearest difference is rating: Time Calculator at 4.7 against Work's 2.5. Time Calculator also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 2). Work's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Calculator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Work sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Calculator has 2.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Time Calculator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Work's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Time Calculator ships an update every 2 weeks, Work every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
