# Time Calculator vs Kitchen

The clearest difference is update cadence: Time Calculator at every 2 weeks against Kitchen's every 8 months. Time Calculator also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 9). Kitchen's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.7 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Calculator sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Kitchen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kitchen holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Calculator has 2.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Calculator ships an update every 2 weeks, Kitchen every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
