# Wedge vs Tip Tracker°

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tip Tracker° at free with in-app purchases against Wedge's subscription. Tip Tracker° also leads on ratings volume (165 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Wedge's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wedge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Tip Tracker° sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wedge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tip Tracker° has 165 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Wedge's written reviews are positive against 58% of Tip Tracker°'s.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
