# Church App vs Lifeway On Demand

The clearest difference is rating: Lifeway On Demand at 4.8 against Church App's 4.3. Church App's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 26%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lifeway On Demand holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 994 and 1.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Church App's written reviews are positive against 26% of Lifeway On Demand's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
