# Ultimate Rugby vs BestRugby

The clearest difference is rating: BestRugby at 4.5 against Ultimate Rugby's 2.9. BestRugby also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (79% vs 44%). Ultimate Rugby's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 12). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Rugby sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and BestRugby sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BestRugby holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Rugby has 102 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.
