# Ultimate Rugby vs DigicelTV

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DigicelTV at none against Ultimate Rugby's 4. DigicelTV also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (3.2 vs 2.9). Ultimate Rugby's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 11%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Rugby sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. DigicelTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

DigicelTV holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Rugby has 102 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Ultimate Rugby's written reviews are positive against 11% of DigicelTV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ultimate Rugby ships an update every 3 weeks, DigicelTV every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
